Briefly differentiate this Spanish tenses? Please!?

Dimelo is used when you are talking to friends or people who you are very familiar with. Digamelo is used usually with people that are older than you, who may be of higher position, or who you may have just met. However, if someone would invite you to use the informal tense, then that is okay.
