It could be the medicine that she is on like you said or she could have something else like endometriosis...which im not sure it older people get that or not but it is a possibiliy i would say get some more test done to try to find the problem.....a hysterectomy is invasive for just having done what she had done...I would run some more test or a second opinion and see what could be found good luck and god bless
