What is wrong with my boyfriend?

Okay--Back in November we had a miscarriage. We were only about 5 1/2 weeks along when it happened. Naturally, having a baby is all I can think of since it happened. Ive wanted to have children for such a long time and then THAT happened! ;[ Since then, we have only talked about having children in the distant future but I express my desire to start trying now. He tells me no, he's not ready. Not ready for what? He was so excited when we found out we were expecting-now he decides he's not ready for a baby? I know it's not about money.. he has well over 10,000 in his bank account. We have a nice home, which we own..and 2 acres of land, nice cars. What is he waiting for? He paints cars at a local (and very popular) body shop. He says he wants a better job.. but yet does nothing about it. I just don't know how to get through to him. I feel like Im wasting my time..this is time that we could be spending with our children..instead of bickering back and forth about when we want to have children. What's the difference between now and later? He is 23, Im 22 ...we've been together since 2000 (9th grade; high school)... And we're in a very stable relationship!
