Gas gage not working?

The sending unit is defective. If its accessible from the trunk area, its easy to replace. If you have to drop the fuel tank, then it will take a bit more work. But still not that hard. It may also be that the wire coming off of the sender has been shorted or cut. I've seen it happen when things are thrown in a truck and eventually cut through the wires.
