Are these behaviors normal in a 3 (almost 4) year old?

He sound very normal to me, he sounds as if he is very excited about a subject and can focus on it intently, kids when they are excited about something will get obsessed, the question is what was he doing that was inappropriate? From the little that you said it just sounds like he needs alittle time talking back and fourth. I hate talking about my little ponies but I have to when I am playing with my daughter.
