Taming a very special dwarf hamster?

Can anyone give me a detailed guide on how to tame a dwarf hamster I got last night? I know that we are supposed to leave them in their cage for 3-4 days before handling them, and we will, it's just we need some info before-hand.The reason he is special is he was born with only three legs.
